Gearing Up for the ARRL DX CW Contest
This weekend I will be using the CQ WW RTTY WPX contest to prepare for the upcoming ARRL DX CW Contest. I am not a big RTTY operator but do enjoy participating in the occasional RTTY contest and I really enjoy how fast digital operators are with electronic QSLing (LOTW/eQSL). It’s fun to see such a quick turn around on QSLs. By the time I upload my log, usually by the next day, I will already have a couple dozen, if not more, QSLs waiting for me.
Anyway, I’ve made a few antenna changes and will be using the RTTY contest to work out any bugs prior to the CW contest the following weekend. It looks like the sunspots may be a bit more cooperative this year resulting in better propagation. I will be keeping my fingers crossed that the XYL will cooperate and let me run the entire contest! Hope to see you on the air!
